Streaming Networks offers an ISO compliant AAC software audio Codec supporting encoding & decoding of both MPEG4 and MPEG2 formats. The AAC Codec library is targeted for embedded systems, requiring low memory footprints and is fully optimized for the TriMedia VLIW processor. The encoder and decoder libraries are available with the TriMedia streaming interface (TSSA).

Well-documented, easy to use application programming interface allow developers to control the behavior of the library. The sample demo provides functionality necessary to capture audio, encode it, decode it, and finally render it for listening.
